World Industries Team Riders Take Phoenix

COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA – (April 6, 2009) World Industries’ Team takes 1st, 2nd, and 5th at the 2009 Phoenix Am contest.

World Industries’ Team riders, Cody Davis, Timmy Knuth and Dustin Blauvelt take 1st, 2nd and 5th respectively in this years Phoenix Am (PHXAM) contest held this past weekend at the Peoria, AZ skate park.

The whole World Industries Am team had a great showing at this years Phoenix Am. Dustin Blauvelt returned with his signature switch 270 front board down the 10 stair rail. Timmy Knuth with his smooth back tail to front tail in the bowl section and his nollie board slides down the 10 stair set him apart. But Cody Davis’ perfect runs and big tricks down both the stair sets and throughout the park made him the first place qualifier on Saturday. His performance in the finals was no different than the previous day. With hardflips down the 8 stair, 5-0 grinds and backside flips down the 10 along with the rest of his run helped him capture the top spot on the podium.

“We’re really stoked on how well the whole team did this weekend. Congratulations to Cody, Timmy and Dustin, as well as the rest of the team. I think they all skated well and had a lot of fun. Thanks Trent, Laura and the Cow Town crew for putting on a great contest.”  – R.P. Bess, World Industries Director of Marketing

“The Contest was sick dude! They killed it!” – Ronson Lambert World Industries Pro.
