Snowsports Industries America has been dotting its i's and crossing its t's in preparation for the move to Denver in 2010 for several years already. Transworld Business joined the SIA team on November 6th to hear what's new and give the Denver Convention Center a look see.
On October 11–12 hundreds of shapers, surfers, and surfboard enthusiasts gathered in Del Mar, California for the second annual Sacred Craft surfboard show. It's like ASR or Surf Expo, except it's only surf hardgoods and instead of retailers making the rounds it's the public—although there were a few retailer spottings for sure. Aside from booths full of boards there were shaping seminars, live shaping booths, and videos playing in a tent outside the venue. Check out some photos here.
89,168 fashion professionals visited the seventh BREAD & BUTTER BARCELONA from 02. – 04. July 2008. Therewith, the attendance record of summer 2007 could almost be retained, with a decrease of merely 2.5%.

Global Wave Ventures announced today that the first annual Boards & Waves Expo on July 12 and 13, 2008 will be sold-out with surfboard, blank, fin, accessory, and surf art exhibitors.
Three familiar faces will be absent from the upcoming ASR trade show in September. Sole Technology, Podium Distribution, and C1RCA have all pulled the plug on their involvement with the September show.
The SnowSports Industry of America (SIA) challenged itself to help out the environment even more this year at it's annual Las Vegas trade show on Jan. 29.
