Transworld Business sits down with Steve Lake to get his thoughts on being purchased by Billabong and what it means for his company.

This just in from Australia: Billabong International announced it has acquired Sector 9 skateboards from Co-founders Steve Lake and Dennis Telfer. The acquisition includes Gullwing trucks. Billabong expects Sector 9 to contribute approximately 2% to the company’s overall sales in 2008-09.

Starting July 10, teams from Hurley, Lost, Volcom, and Billabong will travel up the coast performing the most outrageous and creative stunts that the minds at Transworld SURF could devise.
