SABRE Hires Industry Leader Christopher Friel as head of sales and brand management.
Yes the rumors are true, SABRE is proud to announce that Chris Friel has joined the company to fuel the growth in the US. He will take charge as Brand Manager and VP of sales for SABRE America effective immedietely. SABRE with its forward product design and savvy marketing will be a perfect fit for Friel to join.
Friel comes to SABRE with years of industry experience, specializing in accessories and has a wealth of knowledge and strong relationships. Prior to his arrival here at SABRE, Friel ran sales and was involved in key marketing efforts at Vestal Watch Company for 6 years.
The Sabre family based in Newport Beach is super excited to have him in the mix. Founder Brooke McGregor said “After Chris told me he would fix his hair any way I wished I felt we should pull the trigger and hire him before someone else jumped to the occasion”. Brooke also mentioned Chris’ strong backround, long list of connections, and canny networking skills and said, “With Chris at the helm of sales managing the brand here in America, I’ll feel more comfortable traveling back and forth from Australia.” In the coming weeks Friel will build the domestic sales force and meet with all major retailers.
Friel, now all saddled up in the Sabre office at their “DONT PANIC” showroom has already begun strategizing for SABRE’S future.
Timing is perfect with summer upon us and the tradeshow craze about to hit us with a vengeance, Chris will be bringing the heat.
Give him a call or feel free to come by to visit.

Although Cassette is based in Sydney, Australia, and Sabre in Loas Angeles, the two labels have long been friends. It seemed only natural then that they’d eventually pony up and have some fun collaborating on an experimental fashion eyewear release. The result is a limited edition frame inspired by a love for the fashions of the British punk movement of the 1970s.
The frame is handmade 4 MM acetate, with oversived CR39 100% UVAB Charcoal lenses. French comotec stainless steel hinges and silver stud detailing.
