» Read Full StoryPARK CITY, UTAH (May 12, 2009) – While the travel industry is adjusting to the growing trend of digital communication, the Park City Chamber of Commerce/Convention and Visitors Bureau has launched a new mobile Web platform service for handheld device users. The Park City Chamber/Bureau’s new mobile site will provide portable and accessible information for travelers on the go.
Internet-ready mobile devices will automatically redirect the user to the Park City Chamber/Bureau’s phone-friendly Web site and will allow for faster page loading, easier navigation and ideal screen optimization. Developed by MobiManage <http://www.mobimanage.com> , the Park City Chamber/Bureau’s mobile site launched on April 28, 2009 and is ready to assist visitors with their trip planning. “Fewer people are traveling with laptops and bulky electronics and relying more on handheld devices for information,” said Bill Malone, CEO and President of the Park City Chamber/Bureau. “It’s logical that we would take pertinent and valuable information from our website and put it into a size that fits any handheld device. This is one step closer in helping us connect with our guests 24 hours a day.”
The new domain, Mobileparkcityinfo.mobi <http://mobileparkcityinfo.mobi> , guarantees that mobile device users can easily and automatically access a comprehensive guide of the Park City Chamber/Bureau’s online functions, including: business listings, dining and recreation guides, a lodging database and an up-to-the-minute weather report.
Sales drop from last year’s record highs in one of Utah’s biggest ski towns.
