La Jolla Group announced that the company is opening the doors to its first O’Neill Clothing flagship store, located in Anaheim, California’s GardenWalk shopping district. The 3,350 square foot store features the latest collection of O’Neill clothing, footwear, accessory, and wetsuits.

The Santa Cruz native, whose NSSA career concluded after the contest, now shares the record book next to former Open winners such as Andy and Bruce Irons, Taylor Knox, and Fred Pattachia.

Blacks Leisure will layoff 50 employees when it closes its Sandcity head office in Tyne & Wear, which distributes the O’Neill boardwear brand in the UK, and merge it with the group’s Freespirit operation in Northampton.

O’Neill Wetsuits LLC has appointed Bert Aramburu as Director of Sales and Marketing and Kieran Horn as Surf Marketing Manager.

O’Neill’s Psycho 2 wetsuit has been nominated by the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association as the best wetsuit of the year, while the company’s Mutant/Mod boot series was nominated for accessory of the year.

The Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) announced Monday, March 24, the list of nominees for the sixth annual SIMA Image Awards, the only awards program that gives the surf industry the opportunity to recognize fellow surf industry companies for their outstanding contributions to the industry.
