Memorial Day ride and golf activities include 18 hole rounds at Sierra Star Golf Course and all-day lift tickets at Mammoth Mountain.

Guldemond performed a variety of tricks on his way to defeating a field of 18 of the world’s best jibbers that included Lucas Magoon, Scotty Vine, Cameron Pierce, Darrell Mathes and others.

Thirty-one team members will be selected during the week-long event, which will help pick the national snowboard team for the next four-year term.

The event, held May 2-3, features a line-up of former Olympians and the most talented up-and-comers in the industry. Musical performances from Talib Kweli are sure to get the party started.

An early celebration held Friday, April 18, will feature scenic snowshoe tours aimed to educate the public on Mammoth’s conservation initiatives and how each individual can reduce his or her impact.

On Saturday, April 12, more than 40 bikini and boardshort-wearing college students slid and slashed their way through Mammoth’s spring corn snow as part of the spontaneous, yet annual “Bikini Run.”
