The one-hour special will include three action packed events: the US Pro Street Championship, the Carl’s Jr US Pro Vert Championship, and the US Women’s Pro Street Championship. Look out for skater profiles, and skate legend Christian Hosoi as a guest announcer.

Nixon worked with event visionary Rob Dyrdek to produce a pair of extremely covetable timepieces each valued at over $10,000 USD. The watches were 51-30 models, featuring 23 karat gold plated stainless steel cases, and sapphire crystal and custom rounded bezels set with 76 white baguette diamonds equivalent to one and a quarter carats.

Close to 10,000 spectators - including big names like Lil John, Mae Andersen and Nikki Hilton - were present for the two-day contest, that featured pros pulling out all the stops to take home nearly half a million dollars.

The event will showcase some of the major brands in skateboarding, including Black Box, Girl, World Industries, Blitz and CCS, and pro Ryan Sheckler will also be on hand signing autographs.

This July, the Maloof family will host the richest skateboarding contest ever held—the Maloof Money Cup. The Maloofs flew the crème de la crème of the skateboarding world out to Las Vegas for a press conference at their casino, The Palms. Brothers Joe and Gavin Maloof wanted to tell us about their contest, and they wanted us to hear it from them.

World Industries, finalized an agreement with The Maloof Money Cup to be the title sponsor of the U.S. Amateur Championships of Skateboarding.

The etnies Festival Village at the Maloof Money Cup will be held from July 11-13 2008, featuring more than 40,000 square feet of skateboarding retailer and manufacturer booths with interactive games, challenges and chances to win prizes, including a charity raffle for a new vehicle.
