Surfers hit the two-to-three foot (1 metre) waves at Lower Trestles Wednesday, April 30 for the remaining seven heats of Round 2 before moving into Round 3.

San Clemente’s Shane Beschen, Cardiff’s Zach Keenan and Santa Cruz’s Jason Collins edged the competition on the first day at Lower Trestles in San Clemente, Calif.

The 6.0 Lowers Pro will hit world famous Lower Trestles, San Clemente, Calif. for the first stop of the Macy’s California Trifecta Surf Series April 29 to May 3, 2008. The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) event will launch as a 4 Star for 2008, and as part of a three-year deal, will upgrade to a 6 Star in 2009 and 2010.
