FORUM SNOWBOARDS Receives Three Transworld Good Wood Awards

Forum Snowboards Good Wood

BURLINGTON, VT (August 25, 2009) – Forum Snowboards is proud to announce the 2010 Destroyer ChillyDog, Youngblood ChillyDog and Seeker have just received Good Wood honors from Transworld Snowboarding for the upcoming season. “It’s great to see that Transworld’s on-snow testers had fun riding our new ChillyDog boards,” states Forum Brand Manager David Friend. “We’ve had so much fun building and riding them. Now it’s even better to see that others like riding and progressing on them as much as we do.”

Awarded Good Wood in the over $400 Park category, the Destroyer ChillyDog is a new twist on a Forum classic. This ChillyDog-infused flagship brings Continuous Rocker fun to those destroying what lies in their path. Based off one big circle, ChillyDog Continuous Rocker creates a constant arc underfoot for increased stability and predictability. No fruit here: this rail-slaying, transition-stomping master redefines what it means to have fun on snow. Blacked-out graphics only add to the limited run of these weapons.

The Youngblood ChillyDog, winning Good Wood in the under $399 Park category, exemplifies that progression lies at the very root of the Youngblood soul. It only makes sense to bring ChillyDog Continuous Rocker to this established street stick for less on-edge hang-up and increased stability. More stomped landings, more new tricks, and a new Youngblood…Youngblood with ChillyDog. What could be better?

A continuing two-year Transworld Good Wood champ, the Seeker offers a poppier flex and a more aggressive edge. The result is a fast snap and quicker response while ripping.

Forum Snowboards, High Cascade Complete World’s Second Virtual High Five

BURLINGTON, VT (May 26, 2009) – Forum Snowboards and High Cascade Snowboard Camp are once again partnering up for the 2009 summer season. Along with a Pat Moore/Peter Line signature session, High Cascade will offer several of Forum’s new 2010 products in their demo closet. This means serious business.

“Business is serious and we mean business,” states Forum Brand Manager David Friend. “We even told the GM about this one BEFORE we did it.”

“He did,” adds Sam Paschel, Forum General Manager. “I’m not sure why, though.”

For those looking to get that flowy playful feel with added snap and stability, four of Forum’s boards with new ChillyDog continuous rocker will be available to demo in a range of sizes, including the transition-killing Destroyer ChillyDog and the swashbuckling Scallywag. In addition, the first ten lucky campers per session to get out on a ChillyDog board and experience continuous rocker will get a free Cobra Dog AND an original print made by Peter Line.

“Art is serious business,” says Preston Strout, HCSC Director. “When David said there would be Peter Line art involved, I knew they meant business … serious business.”

Forum will also be debuting its brand new award-winning Shaka binding, allowing the ultimate in natural board flex. And for the first ten campers per session to get out and experience the “Good Vibes” of the Shaka’s hinged disc, they’ll get a pair of Shaka flip-flops.

“I can’t wear flip-flops myself,” states Strout. “My toenails look like dragon teeth. But campers with nice toenails are very fortunate and should display them proudly.”

“I agree 100%,” adds Paschel. “Are you really quoting me about toenails?”

“No,” says Strout. “It’s about business.”

Then the two businessmen combined businesses, forces and souls in only the world’s second virtual high-five. No media was allowed access at the time.

Forum Snowboards and Cobra Dogs Partner For 2009/10

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - Forum Snowboards and Cobra Dogs Partner Up for the 2009/10 Season and Attempt the World’s First Virtual Handshake

BURLINGTON, VT (April 15, 2009) – Forum Snowboards and Cobra Dogs have sealed a deal for the next year that involves snowboarding, having fun, eating food, and secret magic. Like an “all beef Boa” in a bun, this perfect match has been cooking for some time. Both groups are prepping for a strong Mt. Hood showing this summer where Cobra Dogs may unveil a secret new wiener that will potentially be the best hot dog in all of Government Camp. At the same time, Forum will be unveiling all sorts of new fun for campers to ride including Chilly Dog Continuous Reverse Camber available on several board models, as well as the all-new Shaka binding which naturally comes with a side of good vibes.

To commemorate such a momentous occasion and solidify this serious business deal, Forum and Cobra Dogs attempted the world’s first virtual handshake. “This is a big day for us at Forum and a very serious business contract,” states Forum Brand Manager David Friend. “Serious things like this require handshakes, so I put my best pants on and moved in for a virtual handshake with Mr. Grove.”

“It is very serious, but I didn’t go as far as David to put pants on,” says Cobra Dogs owner Cory Grove. “We soon realized that a virtual handshake wasn’t possible, but that didn’t affect the serious nature or the size of the deal we put together. This is a really big deal, cobra style.”

Friend continues, “Then someone in sales who is really smart when it comes to business deals suggested we do a virtual high-five instead of a handshake to signify our business deal and partnership. After that, it was sealed forever in the pages of time. Forever.”

“Then we went for the virtual fist bump,” Grove adds. “It’s the industry standard.”

Forum’s new Chilly Dog continuous reverse camber is delicious, smooth and flowy with perfect snap … just like a Cobra Dog wiener. Don’t miss the goodness this summer at Hood!
