CSCUSA announced that it will end its print/broadcast campaigns and has cut one-third of its staff in the wake of Vail Resorts’ pull out from the Colorado ski industry representative.
Vail Resorts officials announced to Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) today that it is pulling Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Keystone out of the group, which serves as the representative for Colorado’s ski industry. The move is expected to seriously impact the trade group’s finances and its status as Colorado’s industry representative.
Mother Nature has been kind to Colorado this winter season, as eight of Colorado Ski Country USA’s 26 member resorts received record snowfall accumulations and many more recorded above average snowfall.
Winter Park Resort is proud to announce that two employees have been selected by Colorado Ski Country USA as Slope Groomer of the Year and Terrain Master of the Year. 35-year long employee Doug Trostel received the 2007/08 Colorado Ski Country USA Award for Slope Groomer of the Year and five year long employee Sean Daniels, a.k.a. Nordberg Dugelsford, received the 2007/08 Colorado Ski Country USA Award for Terrain Master of the Year.
