» Read Full StoryBeaver Creek, Colo.-March 10, 2009- Winter quickly established a stronghold on the Vail Valley overnight as temperatures plummeted and 10 inches of light powder fell mid-mountain at Beaver Creek with 8 inches blanketing Vail; snow continued all morning. Beaver Creek crossed the 300-inch mark for the season and is reporting 310 inches of cumulative snowfall while Vail is at 325 inches year-to-date. Both resorts are nearly six feet ahead of season-to-date averages at the summit with some of the best weeks of the season still ahead.
Skiers and riders can still make those last minute winter vacation plans and take advantage of great deals and events through April. This week is the last chance to benefit from American Airlines Kids Fly Free program. For every adult (18+) fare purchased into the Vail/ Eagle County Regional Airport by March 14, 2009, kids ages 2 through 12 years receive one free airline ticket.
