The boots includes the Vans new Quadfit Asym-X thermal liner that works with the structure of the leg for superior fit, the Vans Flight Core Air Snowaffle Sole with a dual gel/air dampening cassette and RECCO® Rescue Reflectors. The boots also come in Black/White and Red/White/Blue. Wiig took inspiration from his Viking roots for this boot which matches up with a snow jacket and trouser using an eye-catching yellow lumberjack plaid. If that is just a little too loud for your taste there is a classic looking grey and white pinstripe version.
Wiig put the cherry on top of one hell of a year by sticking the Exposure-Meter title again. Transworld Business caught up with the Norwegian rock star to share the news and get his reaction.

After a heated battle, the final tallies for this season’s snow mags are in, and Andreas Wiig has edged the Flying Tomato out of first place to claim his second straight Exposure-Meter title. Wiig, who trailed White by 1,025 points going in to this month, snuck by to gain a slim 375-point margin and lock in the title and bragging rights for the summer months. White had an uncharacteristically quiet month to allow the pass on the final straightaway, racking up a mere 1,100 points with a cameo and Adio ad.
THE RUNNERS-UP
Scotty Lago punched the gas with a full-spread Billabong ad and some meaty editorial shots in Transworld’s season-capping April issue to round out the top three. The icing on the cake was a great spread of him spraying skiers on a T-bar in the Photo Annual that had him laughing all the way to the bank. Nicolas Mueller jumped into the top five with some relatively rare ad points from an Adio spread. This year’s editorial champ got back on more familiar ground with an artsy huck spread and a playful collage from Greenland and NZ in SNOWboarding’s Photo Annual. Leanne Pelosi represented for the girls, staying steady at number six overall and second in ad rankings. Well-rounded jibber Wolle Nyvelt catapulted up four spots into ninth with multiple ad spreads in Transworld and some AK industrial
jib and introspective pow shots in Snowboarder.
THE REST OF THE PACK
Austin Smith just missed the cut after jumping to eleventh from eighteenth. Something tells me we haven’t seen the last of him. Terje speed-checked from tenth back to twelfth, but managed to hold on to second place in the coveted editorial race. Jake Blauvelt sailed into 47th from 59th with a crapload of little shots and a spot on the Forum trip to Chile in Transworld’s Photo Annual. Teammate Jake Welch hit the afterburners, climbing from 109 to 51 with his spot on the Chile trip and a ton of other ad and edit points. Jakob Wilhelmson squeaked into the top 100, landing at 99 from 127 with a couple Quik ads to close out the season.
Well, that’s last call for magazine coverage, but with massive snowpacks gracing the hills around the Northern Hemisphere, it doesn’t mean you have to go home. Congrats to all the winners, and losers—after all, if they’re riding, they’re winners in the end. Yeah! See you next season.
