Hollister’s microsite for the Epic store features a live feed of Huntington Beach Pier.
Hollister Co., a division of Abercrombie and Fitch, is opening the doors to its first four-level, 40,000-square-foot EPIC store in SoHo on July 16, a press release issued by the company reports. For a more in-depth look at Hollister’s invasion into the surf market, check out our article, “How Hollister Co. Stole Surf.”
The store, located at the southeast corner of Houston and Broadway, will apparently emerge customers into a beach like atmosphere, with live feeds of Huntington Beach Pier. Here’s a statement direct from Hollister about the new store:
“‘The EPIC store is what Hollister is all about–big waves, surf, sun, and hanging out on the pier,’ said a Hollister rep. ‘The laidback HCo. vibe is effortlessly cool, and we’re bringing the SoCal lifestyle to SoHo.’
EPIC is a part of Abercrombie & Fitch’s current plans for global expansion. European openings include the launch of an Abercrombie & Fitch flagship in Milan in October, and Asian expansion includes an 11-story Abercrombie & Fitch opening in December in Tokyo’s Ginza district.”
