OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - Santa Monica, CA – September 16, 2008 - To celebrate its history and passion, and to express gratitude for a successful 20 years, ZJ Boarding House is hosting THE ZJ 20-Year Festival! The Festival will take place across the street from ZJ Boarding House on the beautiful lawn of The Victorian! The day will be a personal, friendly and positive way to showcase the best of the surf, skate and snowboard culture and community. Please join us on Saturday, September 27th 2008 from 12-4pm at The Victorian on Main Street and bring your family and friends!
The Festival will be a carnival-style fundraiser with 100% of the proceeds going to Stoked Mentoring, a non-profit mentoring organization designed to teach life skills to at-risk teenagers through snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing.
There will be plenty of carnival games and prizes, live music, a beer garden, raffles with prizes including a surfboard, skateboard and other loads of other goodies, and athlete appearances! Guests can also enjoy a complimentary BBQ courtesy of DaKine. Best of all, the ZJ 20-Year Festival will be open to the public!
