ZJ Boarding House raised $3000 for Stoked Mentoring at there 20 year anniversary festival where Sal Masekela was MC and and Optimus  performed live at the Victorian in Santa Monica on September 27th. There were carnival games and prizes. Some of the prizes included surfboards, skateboards, Billabong luggage. Not to forget the beer garden.

Stoked offers kids an opportunity to discover and embrace their dreams and then provides them the tools to be able to achieve them. Without Stoked it seems its more difficult for youth these days to develop a strong character, healthy lifestyle and confident identity.

The Festival was a carnival-style fundraiser with 100% of the proceeds going to Stoked Mentoring, a local non-profit mentoring organization designed to teach life skill to at risk teenagers through snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing. ZexSports CEO Espree Devora said “Stoked offers kids an opportunity to discover and embrace their dreams and then provides them the tools to be able to achieve them. Without Stoked it seems its more difficult for youth these days to develop a strong character, healthy lifestyle and confident identity.”
