We caught up with Dragon Director of Product Mike Tobia to learn more about next season’s eyewear.
What are the three biggest trends you see shaping the market and what are you doing to meet them?
1) Maximum peripheral 2) Quick lens interchangeability 3) No fogging. All three of these features have been addressed with our patented frameless technology and proprietary super anti-fog formula.
For the upcoming season, what is your brand doing to differentiate itself?
2013 is Dragon’s 20th anniversary as an innovative, premium eyewear brand and I think our new collaboration with Nike is a testament to that.
What new technologies are you introducing to your line?
Our newest goggle (NFX) takes the same patented technology used in the Advanced Projects goggles but offers it in a cylindrical lens for a more simple look and feel.
What trends do you anticipate in the realm of graphics, themes, and colors?
Seems to be a bit of a mix on the hill these days. Some like simple color pallets to compliment their kit, others like it loud with unique graphics like our signature series with Gigi Ruf and Danny Davis.
What trends have you detected with regards to sales volume?
