LIMITED SPACE LEFT AT WINDELL’S SKI AND SNOWBOARD CAMP
World famous camp celebrates boom after reality show features it on MTV
MT. HOOD – March 16th, 2009 – It’s known to the campers there as “the
funnest place on earth,” now that MTV has shown the world Windell’s ski and
snowboard camp, sessions are filling up fast.
MTV’s reality show Camp’d Out headed up Mt Hood and followed kids from
across the country as they learned freestyle skiing and snowboarding from
pro instructors at Windell’s. The show highlighted some of Windell’s unique
features including the world’s only privately owned campus, year round
skiing and snowboarding, indoor skate park with foam pit, evening activities
and access to all three ski resorts on Mt Hood.
The national spotlight has brought a higher demand for Windell’s camps, “Our
spring sessions are filling up fast,” says Owner and Operator Tim Windell,
“The MTV exposure, the upcoming Olympics, the great conditions this year and
our unmatched facilities and instructors have our phones ringing off the
hook.”
Windell says they are making extra room for campers this spring.

Fame isn’t all that new to Windell’s. In fact, every US Olympic medal
winning snowboarder has attended Windell’s. The legendary Shaun White went
to Windell’s from age 6 to age 12 and he can obviously shred. Other famous
Windell’s campers include Hannah Teter, Gretchen Bleiler, Kelly Clark, and
Danny Kass.

Founded in 1988 by nine time National Champion and 2 time Vice World
Champion snowboarder Tim Windell, Windell’s has been a world leader in
action sports for the past two decades. The camp’s goal is to not only
improve kids’ skills on the slopes and on the street, but also create a fun
