Web’s Leading Independent Video Site for Young Men Scores Content Deal from Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports

New York, NY—April 6, 2009:  Heavy Worldwide <http://www.heavy.com/>, the Web’s leading independent video company for young men, today announced a partnership with Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, a global business that encompasses national and international action sports tours and events, multimedia production, and a consumer facing lifestyle brand. As a result of this partnership, Heavy’s worldwide audiences in the US, UK, Canada and Australia will be getting two new video channels of Alli content. One channel will feature exclusive online videos from the Alliance including Dew Tour and other select Alli properties, with the other showcasing public videos from each member of the Alliance, which includes: the Dew Tour; Winter Dew Tour; China Invitational; Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, King of Wake series and the Gatorade Free Flow Tour. Both channels will launch in June, 2009.

“Alli is the undisputed action sports and tour leader when it comes to BMX, motocross, skateboarding, snowboarding—you name it,” said Simon Assaad, co-founder and co-CEO of Heavy. “Heavy has always been a champion of action sports and we’re thrilled to be sharing video from the likes of the Dew Tour, China Invitational and King of Wake, among many other events, with Heavy’s rabid audience.”

“Heavy has a rich history with providing great online content for the male demographic,” said Wade Martin, President and CEO of Alli. “Their unique and authentic approach to reaching that demo makes it the perfect home for Alli’s compelling action sports content.”

All Alli videos will employ Heavy’s highly engaging and effective video ad units throughout—known as “Video Skins”—monetizing the video by wrapping it with a premium, high-CPM ad unit specifically designed for brand advertisers.
