Press Release

Airing Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 8:00 pm ET/PT (in Snow Pack), and re-airing several more times through the next month, FUEL TV will showcase “U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix: Copper Mountain.”

A large international field competed in the first “U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix” of the season. With the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games a little more than a year away, riders started competing more often to get a good look at what tricks will be needed to be a contender.

Louie Vito sets the tone by landing two identical runs of back-to-back 1080s. He was followed by X Games Gold Medalist Steven Fisher on the men’s side, while 2002 Olympic Gold Medalist Kelly Clark challenged 2006 Olympic Gold Medalist Hannah Teter and 2006 Olympic Silver Medalist Gretchen Bleiler for the victory.
