Press Release

Throughout the last fifteen years (and more), there have been many photographers whose art/photos have helped shape the look and feel of snowboarding. It is our feeling that photographers are the unsung heroes of the snowboard world – great artists in their own right, capturing the emotion of riding mountains for everyone to see and feel. The mission was to display this images and the response was so great that the show is back for an encore presentation at the ARTery gallery in Costa Mesa for one week starting Saturday May 16th.

Still Life with Snow is a gathering of photographic work from some of the most influential snowboard photographers of the last decade. Images range from the inception of the sport – Jake Burton, Craig Kelly, Victoria Jealouse, up to those pushing the envelope today – Antti Autti, Travis Rice, Hana Beaman.

Still Life with Snow first opened to the public two weeks ago in Mammoth Lakes, CA for one weekend. The response to the show was so great, the decision was made to re-hang the show for another week in Southern California. There will be several new images added to the ARTery showing. Each photo is for sale- proceeds go directly to the photographers.
