Press Release

Ride Snowboards releases the second of three Artist Series boards, the DH 2.2, featuring artwork from world-renowned artist Art Chantry. Raised in Tacoma, Washington, Art worked in Seattle for nearly three decades and produced a body of work that rivals some of the best graphic design in the world. With a slew of design awards under his belt, his work has made a global impression and has been exhibited by some of the most prestigious museums and galleries: the Louvre, The Smithsonian, and even the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! With strong roots that took hold in the Seattle underground music scene in the early 1990s, Chantry carved out a style all his own that extended through work with the local alternative newsweekly, The Rocket, and then extended to the fledgling record label, Sub Pop. Art’s unorthodox style and monumental achievements have made him a legend in the world of design.

Today Art’s hard-edge scrappy look can be seen everywhere from punk rock record covers to corporate annual reports…and now on snowboards. Ride is proud to partner with a fellow Northwest native on the second in a series of three limited DH2 boards.

The DH 2.2 will hit select stores November 1st and availability is limited, so get one before it’s too late!

Each DH2 board in the series features distinctive work from influential artists and includes Ride’s most innovative board technologies. Look for the final board in the series, the DH 2.3, to be revealed on November 15th, available in select stores December 1st. Keep your eyes on the DH 2.3 countdown at www.ridesnowboards.com/dh2, and be sure to check out the DH 2.1 featuring Michael J. Zepeda III along with artist videos, bios and full product details.

The DH2 series features Ride’s new LowRize™ rocker profile with LowRize™ specific sidecut, built to lock in landings and eliminate hook. This twin also combines our exclusive Membrain™ top sheet, Pop Stixs™ and 85A Slimewalls® for a one of kind freestyle Ride ideal for going big.
