Press Release

Bonfire Snowboarding and Windell’s Snowboard Camp kick off the first of 3 Pipe to Pipe events this summer, Thursday June 11, with cash, prizes, free food, DJ Matty Mo, Pro’s, Ams, skaters, snowboarders, lurkers and legends– you name it, it’s going down at Pipe to Pipe!!!

Registration is free and open to the public with a lift ticket or pass purchased from Timberline.  Registration begins at 9am in front of the WyEast Day Lodge. A limited number of spots are available so get there early!

The Snow event runs from 11am-2pm.  Campers and young ams claw it out in the AM jam where the top finishers will try their luck against the big boys in the final Pro Jam.  A live DJ will be setting the mood for you to enjoy free Ballpark Franks hot dogs, courtesy of Transworld Snowboarding, while peeping the action.
Which moves will guest judges Jarad Hadi, Tyler Verigin and Kevin Stevenson deem the most proper?  It’s anybody’s game at this one of a kind summer show down.

The skate comp will take place in the newly renovated Windell’s street course inside BOB.  Registration for the event starts at 6pm.  Again, get there early to make sure you get a spot.  Ams will compete for tons of Prizes and Pros will be pushing themselves for the $1000 cash purse!!

Sponsors for the event include: Bonfire Snowboarding, Windell’s, Red Bull, Timberline, Scion, Skullcandy, Salomon Snowboards, Transworld Snowboarding, Red Bull, Dragon Optics, the Art Institute of Portland, Magical Go Go and Pom Pom Wax and Shralp.com — where you can peep footage of each event.
