Aspen/Snowmass announces new pass structure and lower prices for 2009-2010 season pass products. This year’s season pass menu is more affordable, simpler and more flexible than ever – save up to $270 off last year’s premier pass price, choose from a simplified menu of four main pass products and choose to pay up front or as you use your pass.
In addition to lowering prices, Aspen/Snowmass has simplified pass offerings and increased the flexibility for purchasing passes. The Premier Pass, the most popular Aspen/Snowmass pass product is priced lower than it has been since the 2004-2005 season. The NEW Flex Pass and Escape Pass allow passholders to optimize their experience and spread out payments with this pay-as-you-go option. The Aspen/Snowmass Classic Pass has also been simplified with just a five-day pass now available.
“We recognize that current economic times are difficult and that everyone is looking forward to recovery,” said David Perry, senior vice president, Aspen Skiing Company. “In light of these challenging times, we are introducing this new season pass program based on the principles of more affordability, greater flexibility and simplicity of choice.”
This year’s Premier Pass, which allows unlimited skiing/riding on all four mountains with no blackout dates costs just $1,499 in the Super Early Season, a savings of $270 off last year’s price. The premier chamber pass, for area businesses is just $1,099 in the Super Early Season, $200 less than last season. The Premier Pass is also available at senior(65-69), youth(13-17), child(7-12) and Silver(70+) rates. As always, children six and under ski for free.
The Flex Pass costs $819 in the Super Early Season and offers one day of skiing/riding each week of the winter season (20 weeks) on all four mountains plus the flexibility to add days any time for $49 per day with our new direct-to-lift access. Flex Passholders also receive discounts on summer lifts. Weeks begin on Monday and end on Sunday and unused days may not be carried over. Flex Chamber and Flex Senior passes are also available.
The Escape Pass is just $299 up front and offers direct-to-lift pay-as-you-go access to all four Aspen/Snowmass mountains for $49 per day and discounts on summer lift access. This pass must be purchased by December 18, 2009. Escape Passes and rates are also available for senior, youth, college, child and Silver.
A mailer and letter outlining season pass options and rates was sent to 2008-2009 season passholders in mid August. Purchasers are also encouraged to find the perfect pass to fit their needs by visiting www.aspensnowmass.com
