Huntington Beach, California (August 30, 2009) – Andrew Doheny, from Newport Beach CA and notably one of the best 16 year old surfers in North America, was chosen by Ian Carins and Surfing America to be one of 5 to represent the US in the under boys 18 division. From here, the chosen 5 will battle it out to see who will represent and surf for the U.S. in the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships to be held in late January 2010 in New Zealand.

Andrew had this to say about making the team, “Super stoked. I am feeling really excited to be a part of the PacSun Surfing America U.S. Team. I have a feeling that this is going to be our year.”

Andrew is currently rated #4 on the ASP North America Pro Junior tour.
