(MMD Newswire) July 1, 2009 — This August, Southern California women’s snowboard company BitchBoards(R) will be hosting an amazing getaway to Australia and New Zealand to visit the sites, snowboard in the summer and raise awareness for the world’s leading killer of women, heart disease. BitchBoards® has partnered with the Go Red For Women Heart Foundation (http://www.goredforwomen.com.au) to host several events and demo days throughout the trip to promote awareness about exercise as a prevention of heart disease.

“In the winter, its tough to motivate yourself to get out and exercise,” says Alex Masterson, the owner and creator of BitchBoards® women’s snowboards. “Snowboarding burns up to 500 calories per hour and is so much fun, you forget your working out! Its a great way to keep healthy during the winter months.” Proceeds from the events will go to the Go Red For Women foundation.

Beginning on August 10th in Sydney the group will travel from sand to snow to cover the best of Australia and New Zealand including the Great Barrier Reef, Australian Alps, metropolitan cities and the New Zealand Winter Games (http://www.wintergamesnz.com) For $3700, all accommodations and travel within the two countries are included as well as a free BitchBoards® Snowboard and Matching Bindings (www.bitchboards.com).
