In an essentially stagnant market, one strategy for success is to extend your reach into different demographics. World Industries is taking that tact by launching into the women’s market as a price leader with its new World Girl Snowboards Line.

World Girl premiered its line of hardgoods for the 2009/10 at SIA. With 4 styles ranging in sizes from 121cm- 158cm, bindings for women and girls, and 2 boot styles in multiple colors.

“The success with World Industries in the Men’s and Boy’s hardgoods made it a no brainer for us to hedge into the Women’s market,” says Ken Kelley, Director of Snow, World Industries/ i.e. distribution. “World Industries has always been the strongest brand in value-oriented performance snowboard products. The continual upward spiral in the cost of winter sports participation, combined with the current economic climate, has reinforced World’s traditional brand positioning in the market.”

Fcking sht. There are so many fcking worthless snowboard brands on the market right now it’s pathetic. Morrow, 5150, Capita, LTD, Lammar, Smokin, Endevor, Option, Head, Rossi, Palmer, NFA, Mission Six, Technine and all the other sht brands I can’t think of at this time. The industry would be a hell of a lot better off without all these pisson worthless brands that do nothing for snowboarding except leach off the market. Everyone would be better off without these brands dragging everyone down. Fck em

So what we need is more monotony, less competition and more consolidation? Let me guess, you work at Burton?

  • gotohellbob Says:

Please explain to me for a second why exactly you would label Capita of all brands a “sht” brand? Is it because they actually care about snowboarders and make their boards in Austria? Maybe if they were produced in china they would be a better snowboard company hey? Get a life loser!
