Queenstown, New Zealand - A good 10cm (3.9 inches) blanketed Coronet Peak overnight, and the snow continues to fall today. Ski Area Manager Hamish McCrostie said snowmaking is scheduled to start next week following testing of the new system.

“Snowmaking will depend on temperatures and how much snow we get out of this storm over the next few days, but it’s looking good!” he said.

While at The Remarkables spirits are high after 15cm (5.9 inches) of snow covered the mountain overnight and forecasters talk of more snow on the way.
