VF Corp In “Active Discussions” On Action Sports Acquisition

According to Bloomberg.com, VF Corp CEO Eric Wiseman said the company “is in ‘active discussion’ on possible acquisitions to increase revenue from outdoors and action-sports brands.”
“There are lots of really interesting discussions about brands that may be appropriate,” Wiseman says in the report by Chris Burritt. “I hope we can make an interesting acquisition this year.”
Much speculation was made about VF Corp’s interest in Quiksilver (ZQK) and/or DC Shoes earlier in the year.
The company’s action sports/ outdoor group of brands was the most profitable segment of VF’s business last year.
