Under Armour Names New Director of Communications

Under Armour, Inc. has appointed Diane Pelkey to the position of director of communications. In this role, Pelkey will guide Under Armour’s global internal and external public relations efforts including media relations, the development of long-term communications programs, and provide strategic counsel to Under Armour’s executive team. Pelkey will report directly to Steve Battista, Under Armour’s senior VP of brand marketing.

Most recently, Pelkey served as director of global brand communications for Reebok International, where she directed all aspects of global communications programs for the Reebok brand. Pelkey has nearly 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing and brand management.

Pelkey’s appointment is effective immediately.
