Stoked Mentoring just announced its third annual Stoked Awards event in New York City on November 12, 2009, which will honor Quiksilver CEO Bob McKnight with the Achievement Award, for his accomplishments in business and philanthropy and his continuous support of Stoked. Stoked Founder Dan Bealey will receive the Volunteer of the Year Award. Read more:
“Who: NYC’s young surfers, snowboarders, and skateboarders are inviting you to get Stoked! E! Entertainment Daily 10 personality and ESPN “X-Games” host, Sal Masekela is hosting the 3rd annual action sports studded awards event to help develop successful teens with opportunity, knowledge, experience and determination through action sports and mentoring. Quiksilver CEO, Bob Mcknight will receive the Achievement Award and Jonathan Drubner, Los Angeles based TV host, writer and comedian and 17 –year-old Erik Tobar will receive the Mentoring Pair of the Year Award. Long time Stoked mentor Dan Bealey will receive the Volunteer of the Year Award. DJ Christopher Sealey will rip tunes for the board lovers while guests enjoy nosh and spirits from Chipotle, VeeV Vodka, Barefoot Wine, and Brooklyn Brewery. Other attendees include, Steve Larosiliere, Founder of Stoked Mentoring, Joy Bryant, actress, and Daria Werbowy, model.
