Mountain Dew and nonprofit action sports youth development agency Stoked Mentoring, will unveil a 20 minute documentary chronicling the development of the DEWeezy commercial, featuring Lil Wayne. The program enlisted 10 teens from the NYC area to work with brand and industry executives, including director Chris Robinson of Robot Films, to co-create a 30 second television commercial. During each stage of the development process, fans were able to follow the teens’ journey and vote for their favorite cuts.
The documentary is scheduled to air on BET on March 31, but a sneak peek of the film and behind the scenes coverage is available at www.deweezy.com.
