Press Release

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE – Six hundred Participants on the hill this Weekend SOS Outreach kicks off our 15th season of providing dynamic programming to youth in need. 600 participants will be on the hill nationally this weekend during 21 program sessions.

This season over 3,500 kids will be enrolled in a multi-day program at 35 resorts in eight states nationwide. Over 2,500 youth will be served in Colorado alone. SOS provides a long-term relationship that has outcomes benefiting kids’ lives beyond the sport.  SOS Outreach teaches underserved youth valuable life skills and core values through three programs: Learn to Ride (LTR), the University Program and the Diversity Program. SOS creates long-term relationships with youth that achieve higher graduation rates, vocational experiences and community service. In addition, we are increasing the diversity of the sport and provide the highest conversion rates. This is a win-win investment between snowsports, foundations and individuals. Three hundred participants will be on the hill in our introductory, five day Learn to Ride program during 12 sessions at: Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Eldora, Keystone, Mt. Hood Meadows, Timberline and Vail.

Three hundred University participants will have their first ride days in Eagle and Summit Counties, Colorado and Portland, Oregon. We are excited to continue the expansion of our long-term program that is promoting academic achievement and leadership development in all participants.  If you see us on the hill this weekend, stop in and join the Circle of Love.
