Nominated for seven Surfer Poll Awards, including “Movie of the Year,” OUT THERE takes a perceptive and poignant look at mankind’s impact on the world’s oceans, waves and beaches through the eyes of some of today’s best surfers. Shot in hi-definition and 16 mm, the film follows pro surfers Shane Dorian, Pancho Sullivan, Greg Long, Garrett McNamara and Ian Walsh on his award winning “Heavy Water” wave as they travel across the globe showcasing the outer limits of today’s progressive surfing and talking about impending threats to several world-class surfing breaks including Trestles in Southern California, El Puerto in Southern Chile and Hawaii’s famed North Shore.

Every purchase of OUT THERE on DVD comes with a complimentary one-year membership to the Surfrider Foundation.  Membership benefits include: a one-year subscription to Surfrider Foundation’s bi-monthly award winning publication Making Waves, discounts at a growing number of retailers and restaurants, membership sticker and Surfrider chapter contact and volunteer information.
