Last Saturday afternoon, October 10th, NYC’s skateboarding community rolled out in full force to celebrate Harold Hunter Day III at the Manhattan Bridge Skatepark in Chinatown. With rain in the forecast, it looked like HH Day III might have to be postponed.  But Harold must have been smiling down on the 1,000+ skaters and spectators that showed up because the sun broke through and brought with it a perfect fall day. Plenty of fine shredding went down from the likes of Luis Tolentino, Billy Rohan, Manny Santiago, Felix Arguelles, Jimmy McDonald, Mark Nardelli, Steve Rodriguez, Rodney Torres, and others. Muska even showed up to chill on the sidelines and support the H… and of course sign plenty of autographs. With solid sponsor support behind HH Day III, massive amounts of product got tossed out to the hungry crowd and it seemed like pretty much everyone left with something.  Once the skate jam was a wrap, the 21+ crowd made its way to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, for an after-party at KCDC Skateshop.  Free drinks were flowing all night and the mini ramp got a serious workout, like it always does. At the end of the day, HH Day is all about bringing together Harold’s friends and family to remember and pay tribute to a true New York icon.  Harold would have been psyched, and that’s what matters most. Legends Never Die!
