Newsweek released their official 2009 green rankings this week with Nike placing in the top ten. At number seven Nike was the only action sports brand to make the list, and also was the top consumer brand on the list. The rest of the top ten included companies like HP, Dell, Johnson & Johnson, IBM, and others.
According to Newsweek Nike “Leads its industry in environmental management of suppliers…Initiatives include using organic cotton; its entire manufacturing process generates less waste than its retail packaging.”
