Belgian sporting goods retailer United Brands, has purchased Imperivm Snowboards. Founded in 2004 by Belgian pro-rider Demir Julia, Imperivm apparently fell on hard times due to the bankruptcy of one of its largest Russian distributors.

According to Boardsport SOURCE , Julia will stay on at the brand. Going forward, its “2009/2010 range is almost completely cancelled and the main focus now is to sell their remaining stock (2008/2009 boards)…and to continue building a strong 2010/2011 range for the upcoming winter.”
