LOS ANGELES – January 17, 2013 – Holden Outerwear is proud to announce that it will be attending the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the first time Jan. 23-26, 2013. The decision to exhibit is in response to market demand and the brand’s commitment to extend its presence and awareness among new consumers.
Over the last few seasons, Holden has seen a spike in interest from outdoor buyers, and showing at OR was a logical step to make it easier for those buyers to do business with the brand. The increased desire to carry Holden is a result of the shift in the market with ski, snowboard and outdoor lifestyle consumers now demanding more progressive style and functional fashion. Holden has been leading this movement for over 10 years and answers the demand from consumers looking for fashion-forward goods with an eco-friendly approach and timeless quality. “We are excited to bring Holden to OR. The show is a great platform to showcase our unique approach to style driven functional outerwear and streetwear to new consumers and retailers,” says Holden CEO Ben Pruess.
The 2013 Fall/Winter collection is a full offering of men’s and women’s technical outerwear, streetwear, layering pieces, footwear and headwear. It was designed with all the function needed on the hill blended with the classic street influences Holden is known for. Silhouettes range from active and athletic to longer and more urban, and styles take cues from vintage outdoor to cutting edge street fashion. One of the many highlights is an enhanced layering program, which features Italian sourced Sherpa fleece, and is a must- have for anyone looking for a more stylish alterative to the legacy brand’s offerings.
Holden is known for bringing progressive streetwear style to the mountains and innovative outdoor performance back to the street. “The legacy brands are getting older and missing the call from new customers looking for something more stylish and functional, and that’s why we are here,” says Holden co-founder Mike LeBlanc.
