MFM likes his headphones “gnarly.”

Fortune magazine recently posted a video profile on Park City-based Skullcandy,  in it’s “Disruptors” section. It’s a little hokey with the gratuitous “skate-through-the-office” shots, but it’s worth a watch.
Senior writer Michael Copeland talks to Skullcandy CEO Rick Alden and President Jeremy Andrus about finding a hole in the market, and filling it. “Skullcandy didn’t invent the headphone,” reports Copeland, “but they did turn it in to a fashion accessory. And now every kid between the age of 12 and 25 wants at least one of these things.”
In its 3 years, Skullcandy has grown to an almost $100 million dollar brand—and still seems like a cool place to work. “We have a rule here,” says Alden. “If it’s a powder day—don’t show up.”
