etnies announced that it will drop a signature JP Walker version of its classic shoe, the Screw. The re-vamped shoe has a slimmer silhouette and was , according to a short recap of the release on TransWorld SNOWboarding’s site:
“etnies collaborated with team rider, JP Walker, to make a special version of its classic style, the Screw. The updated version of the mid-top shoe is on a new slimmer silhouette, and my favorite feature is the use of snow friendly water-resistant materials.
Did you know that the original etnies Screw shoe’s name was actually short for “Screw You?” When it originally came out in 1993 the shoe featured a K.O. Man on the shoe’s tongue. The K.O. Man is a graphic of etnies’ owner Pierre Andre sketched out during a trip back from Paris, France because it was the way he was feeling at the time. The K.O. Man etnies logo became the best-selling footwear and apparel graphic of the time. This version of the shoe doesn’t feature the K.O. Man on it but rather JP Walker’s SPOT logo on the tongue, footbed and outer heel panel.
