Crested Butte Announces New Mountain Sports Manager, Division, Team Programs

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - August 27, 2008, Crested Butte, CO – Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) announces our new Mountain Sports Manager, Andrew Cesati. Andrew will create and manage the Mountain Sports Team and program offerings, as well as head the Mountain Sports Division, new this year to CBMR. Andrew comes from the Crested Butte Academy, which recently relocated. He will implement several dynamic offerings for student athletes.
“In creating this new department the Mountain Sports Team is working to build a comprehensive mountain sports program,” says Cesati. “With CBMR bringing in these programs and opportunities for the community, our Mountain Sports Team will have some of the industries’ top coaches, like Woody Lindenemeyr to run the Big Mountain Side and Christian Robertson to run the snowboarding program.”
“Having this team together and so involved in the program, along with our improved mountain resource plan, we are really expecting some great success and support,” says Ethan Mueller, Director of Operations. “This is a new concept for us and we are excited about the renewed commitment toward competitive sports and ski clubs.”
These programs will include options for Alpine Racing, Snowboarding, Big Mountain/Freeride Skiing, and Telemark divisions and are run in association with the Crested Butte Ski Club.
