Bamboo Skateboards Indiegogo Campaign Launch Party
PRESS RELEASE: SAN DIEGO (July 22, 2013)—Environmentally friendly and cause-driven, Bamboo Skateboards, will host its launch party for a 30 day Indiegogo campaign at Pandora’s Pizza in Encinitas on August 1, 2013 (www.bambooskateboards.com). This San Diego-based leading eco-responsible skateboard company aims to inspire the industry and skateboarders to preserve the environment by using sustainable and high-quality bamboo boards from managed forests. Donations raised at the event will support the crowdfunding campaign that will assist Bamboo Skateboards to increase brand marketing, awareness for worldwide deforestation due to maple boards and to expand its existing product line. The party will include ten local artists showcasing their various mediums from skateboard design to fashion photography. Pandora’s Pizza will also be offering a 20 percent discount to all event attendees.

“This party is a way for us to celebrate the launch of the 30 day crowdfunding campaign with our friends and fans, while partnering with some talented San Diego-based artists,” said Mark Olson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Bamboo Skateboards. “All you have to do is join us at Pandora’s Pizza, see some amazing art, participate in the raffle drawings and support a sustainable brand trying to make a difference.”
Art to be featured at the event includes skateboard and surfing themed paintings, digital media, videography and photography. Featured artists include Nick Massey, Myles Messinetti, Nate Woodridge, Justin Coda, Carlie Roe, Zach Curtis, Brittany R., Megan Jeanne Crothers, Hillary Dunks, Bamboo Skateboards in-house designer, Jacquelyn Purvis and more.
Bamboo Skateboards will be accepting donations from attendees to support its Indiegogo campaign, running from August 1 through August 30, 2013. The money raised at the event and throughout the 30 days will be used to raise awareness for sustainable skateboarding, increase marketing efforts and to expand product offerings including a new line of t-shirts made from recycled bottles. The raffle will include items such as short decks, longboards, wheels and other Bamboo Skateboards products.
