Liberty Media Group, parent company of Backcountry.com, WhiskeyMilitia.com, and Dogfunk.com, announced its eCommerce division posted revenue growth of 65 percent in the fourth quarter of 2008 and 92 percent for the full year. Adjusted operating income (OIBDA) for 2008 was also up 19 percent in Q4 and 78 percent for the year. While sales have been strong for Backcountry and its outdoor affiliates, Liberty says fourth quarter revenues were primarily driven by its acquisition of Bodybuilding.com.

Liberty acquired Backcountry.com in June 2007 and this is the first full year of data posted since its acquisition, which was a strong contributor to the company’s revenue growth for FY 2008.
