OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - Aspen/Snowmass, Colo. September 5, 2008 – Aspen/Snowmass will once again host The Meeting, October 2-5, 2008. This original event has grown into the must-attend event for snow filmmakers, athletes, sponsors and fans.

The Sky Hotel continues as the host hotel for The Meeting, offering a limited special rate for industry and media attending the event (www.theskyhotel.com). Book by Friday, September 12 to lock in the early bird special rate of $149 per night for Thursday, October 2 – Sunday, October 5.

The ultra hip Sky Hotel is located in downtown Aspen at the base of the new Silver Queen Gondola, within minutes of all screening and party venues. Now in its fourth year, The Meeting has grown to be the cornerstone kick-off event for the ski and snowboard industry. The latest snow films will screen at the Wheeler Opera House and Belly Up throughout the weekend. Parties, including a media bash and the second annual D&E Fashion Show, will surround the films. In addition, private sessions with guest speakers and athletes allow for a spirited discussion on the state of the industry.

The sixth annual NEPSA Video Awards kick off the event on Thursday, October 2, at the Wheeler Opera House. The NEPSA Awards provide an opportunity for athletes and filmmakers to work together in crafting and debuting their own ski/snowboard movie while competing for a cash prize. This year’s theme is Entourage.
