Ad spending will be going up this upcoming year, marketing and advertising professionals say.
On Monday, Advertiser Perceptions released a survey of more than 3,200 advertisers and marketers who said that increased confidence in old media like TV and print would drive the increases in spending, AdAge Digital reports.
The survey found that advertising optimism is higher today than it was during the last boom in the spring of 2007. While Advertiser Perceptions conducted this survey just six months ago while the optimism stalled, it has rebounded again.
The biggest increases are to old media — like newspapers and magazines — which is a surprise to many.
