Historically though, even this “science” has been more about looking back, and projecting successes and failures on the future.
However, a new company, Krush, is working to take some of the guess work out of production and order forecasting for brands and retailers by allowing consumers to weigh in on upcoming lines before they’re released.
Following its launch at Agenda, Krush is rolling out its first round of reports for Spring 2012 Men’s Apparel and Accessories today, which offer amazing insight on what consumers say they will be buying next season.
The KRUSH Spring ’12 report series aggregates and analyzes consumer feedback data collected from 21 different brands in Action Sports & Lifestyle who previewed their Spring ’12 lines to consumers. The SneakPeek events garnered 135,217 ratings on 1,059 different products across five different categories:
– Apparel Set #1: Hoodies, Jackets, Jeans & Pants, Board & Walk Shorts
– Apparel Set #2: Tees, Tanks, Short and Long Sleeve Shirts
– Footwear: Sneakers, Casuals, Sandals & Flip flops
– Hats: Flat Brims, Truckers & Beanies
– Accessories: Backpacks, Bags, Belts, Wallets and Eyewear
