Transworld business snow exposure-meter

It has been a long summer, but you know it’s officially winding down when the Exposure-Meter engines fire up for a new season of fierce competition. This year’s opening round of shred mag coverage did not disappoint as some old favorites and fresh faces got the powder and park salivary glands going and the battle for the highest profile rider under way. Gigi Rüf finished last season strong with a final month march from 17th into 2nd. Rüf kept his sights ever upwards locking in the top spot overall and advertorially on the front end of 2009/10 with a slew of ad spreads, full pagers and a Fresh & Tracked column in Snowboarder.

The top ten’s welcome mat was rolled out for some of last year’s heavy hitters including Pat Moore, Scotty Lago, Devun Walsh, and the omnipresent Andreas Wiig, who won two of the last three Exposure-Meter titles before Travis Rice utterly owned things last season. Fresh tracks were laid down in the top ten by J.P. Solberg, Eddie Wall, and Andrew Geeves, all of whom didn’t even crack the top fifty at the end of last year.

The beginning of the season is always a time of heavy moving and shaking as the big guns work to solidify their standing and up and comers post over sized impacts with big months. Stay tuned as things get rolling next month to see who’s here to stay and who’s just a one hit wonder.

heads up for Louis Vito…though, admittedly I haven't looked up the criteria for their exposure-meter, but dancing w/ the stars has to count for a ton considering most suburban mom's who pay for all this equipment have no idea who the shredders above are…but i bet they know Vito
