Today we bring you the unfortunate news that editor Eric Stricker, a cherished member of the TransWorld SKATEboarding family, has passed away. He was a fine editor and an even finer friend, whose memory will continue to live in the pages of TWS for years to come.
Our thoughts, prayers, and hearts go out to the Stricker family. A memorial will be held Tuesday, September 29 at Willow Creek Community Church South Barrington chapel in Chicago.

Eric- my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You were a great co-worker, a good softball teammate, and more importantly a good man who respected us surf guys. I appreciate everything you've done for me here at Transworld. You even inspired me to do the Master Cleanse which I can proudly say I am on Day 4 as we speak. As tough as its been, I'll finish it out strong in your honor. I'll miss you bro.

Stricker was a kind and generous man, I've had the privelege to hang out with him whenever he was in NYC or I was in CA. As a friend, he was kind enough to introduce me to skating in the park and I'll push myself to progress as a dedication to his memory, rest in peace, you will be missed here at TW.

The news was horrible, how can someone so full of life, so passionate about his job and so good for skateboarding have to leave us. He was a pleasure to work along side, he aways came through with whatever was before him, his attitude always positive, a real can do kinda guy. I enjoyed playing softball with him too and sharing our victories, great ball player. I was lucky to have know him and had such a great guy in my life. I'm so very sorry for his family and close friends for their loss. his memories will live long in our minds and his love in our hearts, R.I. P. my friend you will never be forgotten. Louise

Eric was a dynamite individual that was also available when you needed him. He recently invited me and my 7 yr. old son down to Carlsbad to go skate and chill. I am sad that we never got to skate together but I am glad to have met a dynamite soul. Thank you Eric for all the love have shown me and my skate team in the pass and My heart and prayers go out his family.
