On Sunday, May 31, hundreds of friends, family, and colleagues gathered in Doheny State Beach to honor the memory of former SIMA President/ Chairman Emeritus Dick Baker. In an emotional ceremony organized by close friend Bob Mignogna several surf industry executives and friends spoke about the positive impact Dick Baker made on their lives before participating in a traditional Hawaiian paddle out ceremony. Baker passed away on April 14 after a long battle with cancer, and is survived by his wife Una, and sons Jack and Ryan.
