The Surfrider Foundation has embarked on a campaign in opposition of Offshore Drilling by traveling to San Fransisco today to demonstrate at a public hearing hosted by Interior Secretary Ken Salazer. According to this post on lakai.com, Eric Koston will no longer be a part of Lakai footwear.

“Wish we could say this is a belated April Fool’s, but unfortunately that isn’t the case. As of today, Eric Koston will no longer be a part of Lakai Footwear. We have arrived at this decision mutually and believe it will ultimately create a better situation for all parties involved. We thank Eric for his contributions to Lakai over the last three years and wish him well wherever his path may lead.”
Not sure what this means for Koston or Lakai, but skate message boards are blowing up in response to the news.

The La Jolla Group announced this evening that it is launching “a new collection of Rusty surf apparel for JCPenney, consisting of an exclusive line of graphic tees, shorts, boardshorts and hoodies for young men and boys to drop in stores this July.”
